How to Measure Your Nail Size

1

What you need

A flexible measuring tape, OR a thin strip of paper (about 5mm wide) and a ruler.

2

Wrap around your nail

Wrap the tape (or paper strip) around the widest part of your nail — not your finger, just the nail plate. Make sure it sits flat against the nail surface.

3

Note the width

Mark where the tape meets itself, then measure that length in millimeters. This is your nail width. Repeat for all 10 nails.

4

Match to the chart

Find the closest size in the chart below. When between two sizes, go up one size — a slightly wider nail is easier to file down than one that's too small.

Pro Tips

  • Measure both hands — most people have slightly different sizes on each side.
  • Don't measure over nail polish — remove it first for the most accurate measurement.
  • Nails can vary slightly day-to-day due to hydration. Measure a few times to confirm.
  • Each of our nail sets includes 24 nails in 12 sizes (2 of each) — you'll always have the right fit.

Sizing FAQ

What if I'm between two sizes?

Go one size up. A slightly wider nail can be gently filed at the sides to fit. A nail that's too narrow will look unnatural and pop off sooner.

Do all of your sets include multiple sizes?

Yes! Every set includes 24 nails in 12 different sizes (2 nails per size), so you can fit all 10 nails with some spares.

My nails are very wide/narrow — will press-ons fit?

Most people fit within our size range (11–18mm). If you're outside this range, gentle filing can help adjust wider nails. Contact us for specific advice.
